As early as in the classical era, people believed in the miraculous power of its roots. It was the theme of many famous poets and it gave a special meaning to fairy tales, as its existence was kept a secret for a long time. The Kozjansko Regional Park has over forty varieties of orchids, among which the black one is the most beautiful and precious. Some admire its resemblance to a butterfly, others hear the whisper of classical love stories in them, while some are intoxicated by the mere sight of it.
